Excerpt from the Book:
Yes, everything was good in the beginning as we got to know one another. His mother said he had a little bit of a temper, but I brushed it off. We all have a little bit of something. Well, her definition of “a little bit” and mine were quite different.
One minute, I was saying, “Hello, how was your day?” The next minute, my body was thrown violently against the wall. Then I was slammed to the floor, and my head jerked backward. It felt like a dream. It did not seem real. The next thing I knew, I was waking up in the hospital. I did not remember what had happened. After a few days in the hospital, my test results were negative. I had no broken bones, but I did have a mild concussion.
When love goes left.
